A Call for Submissions

There are a lot of sources and places to find information about homeschooling, but for some of us, it’s hard to tell what is secular in nature or not.  One goal of the Red Clay Co-op is to create an online resource for homeschoolers, especially for those who are seeking advice on secular homeschooling.

Anyone can contribute, and you don’t have to consider yourself a “writer” or an “expert.”  Please write anything that interests you about homeschooling.  Tell us what homeschooling means to you and your family or write a review of a curriculum or book.

We also want your recommendations for links or activities around the area that homeschoolers may be interested in.  Or, if you have a question, send it to us, and we’ll post it online to see what kind of response you might get.

You don’t have to be a member or live in this area to contribute to the website.  Read our Submissions page to get more information, and send your articles to shelli (at) mamaofletters (dot) com!

Hey! Great idea! Have you considered a section with links to homeschool blogs? I know a couple of moms who do a “our week of learning” post which gives people a clearer idea of what homeschooling can look like on a day-to-day basis. And, are you going to include links to on-line resources? Can’t wait to see how this developes! – Mo

  2. Thank you, Mo! Yes, as I have time, I want to add a page of links. If there are any homeschool blogs, especially Georgia homeschoolers, that you or anyone else would like to recommend, please e-mail them to us. We will also accept links to Georgia programs or places of interest to homeschoolers. I’m already aware of many of them — please be patient as I work on this in my limited spare time.

  3. I also want to add that will be happy to accept previously published work as long as you own the copyright to that work. That is, if you have written something on your blog that would also be pertinent to this site, send it to us and we’ll post it here. We will, of course, link to your site, if you wish.
